Liberia, 1860-89 Liberty & Numeral Issues Balance, mostly mint on album pages; includes Liberty issues with modest to moderate duplication including #1 x5 (each cat $400), set of third transfer issues used, 1880 issues including multiples (1¢ showing all ten transfer types), following Numeral issues including imperf blocks and pairs; condition well above the norm, Scott cat. in excess of $3,800.

Liberia, 1892-1978 Back-of-the-Book Balance Collection, neatly displayed on pages in Scott albums; starting with Semi-Postal issues including a scarce 10¢ + 2¢ inverted surcharge in a corner margin block of 4, Airmail issues starting with two examples of #C2 (cat $250 each), good 1941 surcharge issues on flight covers, 1942-44 Specimen set, later issues with a host of trial proof material, Registry issues with #F1 (cat $250), second issue including imperf pair set and missing "10" set, 1903 issues with 36 trail color items including separate frame and vignette proofs, 1919 issue with imperf pairs including a printed on both block, scarce matrix se-tenant die proof sheets, etc., Military issues with a section of four sheets showing many scarce varieties (ex-Rosebaum, Lockard), Officials with a rare 1892, 1¢//32¢ Officials, additional "O.S." overprints (complete set of 8 values, only one sheet of each printed), 1906 issues with imperforate pairs and inverted centers, etc.; with condition well above the norm throughout.

Liberia, 1903-12 Liberty & Pictorial Issues Balance, of mostly mint displayed on album pages; with 1903 Liberty issue with imperf and trial colors, 1906 Pictorial including unusual 75¢ misperf block, sheet of the high values, 1¢ inverted, 6 scarce proof sheetlets, nice range of imperforate items including trial colors, vignette only proofs, 30¢ die proof, 1909-12 Pictorials includes 5¢ specimen block, imperf pairs, 5 different inverts and a section of black proofs on thin paper, trial colors including 1¢ frame with brown printing on one side and black on the other (block of six and two singles, etc.; with condition well above the norm throughout.

Liberia, 1936 Provisional Surcharge Issue Balance, a wonderful mint study of these neatly displayed and annotated on album pages; starting with regular issue surcharges with a host of scarce to rare varieties (many with 5 to 25 examples existing) including Scott #249 double print x2 (25 exist) and unusual misplaced surcharge (5 exist), #250 albino and double surcharge, #252 rose error of color, #253 double overprint, #254 sideways surcharge, #254 inverted surcharge, #255 double surcharge, etc., official issue section equally impressive with misplaced, double, albino surcharges as well as shade errors.

Liberia, 1937-90 Regular Issue Collection Balance, specialized collection of issues (lacking the 1952 Ashum issue) on pages in four Scott albums; the array of issues with highlights including 1941-47 issue specimens, 1947 Centenary imperf sheets, specialized 1949 Ashum Century of Independence Issue section with Jaffe/Szyk signed proof specimen blocks and sheets, progressive color trials, etc., etc., 1948-50 Presidents issue with specimens, vignette and frame proofs, 1950 National Literacy with scarce unfinished die proofs, 1953 Birds with the array imperfs, partial prints and perf varieties, 1955 Sports with many freak perf & printing items, 1958 European Tour issue with many flag errors in sheet format, and an array of other issues with similar varieties throughout; condition well above the norm throughout.
