Germany, Collection, 1872-1945, mostly used collection neatly laid out in two Lighthouse stockbooks, better items including Scott #11, 25, 28, 117 (with cert.), 301-09, good run of semi-postals with B49-57 (Wagner set), airmail including C20-26, C35-37 (Zepps), C40-42 (Polar Zepps), C43-45 (Chicago Zepps) etc., clean and worthwhile, owner's Scott $10K+, generally fine to very fine throughout.

Germany, Inflationary Issue Collection, specialized collection housed in 12 binders; includes a exhibit collection of post cards spanning the inflationary period, section of covers with and array of frankings and usages, stamp study including 1923 surcharge issue marginal imprints and overprint varieties, etc.; a nice collection for continuation.

Germany, Sheet Hoard, massive accumulation of thousands in two large boxes, mostly inflationary issues as collector was in study of these issues, some duplication and no doubt variety throughout, includes an array of other issues pre and post-inflationary; careful inspection may prove quite rewarding here.

Lot 1902

Germany, Zeppelin Luftschiff Photographs, 1900-31, 71 photographs produced in Germany after the end of WWII using the negatives in the Zeppelin Museum at Friedrichshafen, all numbered 6½x4½'' (no 64 slightly reduced at bottom), includes the following airships LZ1-4, 6-7, 10-11, 13-14, 17-18, 22-23, 25, 36, 40-41, 42, 45, 47, 72, 92, 95, 100, 102, 112-114, 120-121, 126 & 127, enclosed all equivalent L numbers used by the German Navy, plus photo of hangers, construction, F. von Zeppelin, etc., photo (when possible) has been pencil annotated with reference to launch, decommission, crash dates, reconnaissance, attack flights over England, bombs dropped, etc.

German Colonies, Collection, housed on album pages, mostly in basic complete sets with some better high values present */o; includes Caroline Islands, Marshall Island highlighted by a 1901 5m sheet margin single tied to piece (Buhler cert), Samoa, Togo near complete mostly used, New Guinea with 1901 2m & 5m high values used, G.E.A. mostly used missing a couple stamps, Cameroons, G.S.W.A. nearing completion with a nice range of town cancels, etc. also includes a nice selection of offices and some on cover including forerunner; worth evaluation.

Saar, Specialized Collection and Study, 1920-59, large accumulation of material housed in 14 albums, binders or stockbook; with a general collection of issues mostly mint with semi-postals complete mint and includes the 1948 Air Semi-Postal sheet n.h., includes a volume of overprint varieties on the first issue and other variety studies including color, overprint broken letters, bar breaks, missing and shifted letters, spacing flaws, etc.; study/stock of the 1934 Plebiscite issue including position multiples and many on cover, additional study of the 1921 surcharge issue again with some interesting on cover items, other general stock and covers including early stampless, etc.; a very large holding and an excellent basic for continuation.

Danzig, Collection and Study, 1919-39, housed in 10 albums or binders; includes a collection of regular and back-of-the-book issues mint with only a handful of mostly rarer stamps for completion. a specialized exhibit collection of various 1923 issues in 6 volumes specializing in a host of varieties, proofs and on cover items including airmail, also a three volume stock with one volume devoted to varieties including double surcharge, missing burelage, etc.; no rarities but better and unusual material for the specialist.
Estimate    $750 - 1,000.
