1861, 30¢ orange, used with 1¢ blue (63) and 3¢ rose (65), each tied by four-ring cancel, matching "San Francisco Cal., Apr 18, 1863" double-circle datestamp on yellow cover to Santiago, Chile, red crayon "24" cent credit rating to G.B., British P.O. "Panama, AP 26, 65" double-arc transit datestamp, Chile red "25" due handstamp for inland postage; 1¢ faulty, cover tear at left, otherwise Very Fine and colorful use, ex-Paliafito, Myers.

1861, 30¢ orange, radiant color, used with two 2¢ black (73) singles, tied by segmented cork cancels, matching "New London Con. Feb 19" double-circle datestamp on 1867 buff cover to Valparaiso, Chile, New York red "12" credit handstamp crossed out in blue crayon and update to "24" cents, "A, Panama MR 2 '67" transit cds, Chilean red "25" centavos inland postage due handstamp, sender's note on back reads "Mrs. Alsop & Co, Please deliver to Capt. Hinckley immediately if in port and if left forward to his port of destination and oblige, Respectfully A.F. Prentis", 30¢ small tear at lower left, a Very Fine use at the 34¢ rate to South America, ex-Friedman, DuPuy; with 2014 P.F. certificate.

1863, 2¢ black, in combination with 1861, 3¢ rose, vertical pair and four singles on cover addressed to the British Consul in Tampico, Mexico in care of Consul General in Havana, Cuba, all tied by segmented cork cancels in New York, "NA" in circle and matching "3" rate handstamp; some stamp perf flaws, still Very Fine, a very rare and unusual Consulate usage.

1863, 2¢ black, two singles, used with 3¢ rose (65) horizontal strip of four, tied by unusual Boston foreign mail large open grids, red "Boston 'Paid 12' Feb 11" credit exchange cds on cover to Meaux, France, red Calais (2.24) entry cds and matching small "PD" handstamp; right stamp in trip affected from edge placement, Very Fine, colorful and unusual franking overpaying the 15¢ treaty rate to France by 1¢, ex-Knapp (lot label affixed).

Oct 31" cds on 3¢ pink (U58) entire to Paris, France, red New York 'Paid 12' Nov 1" exchange credit cds, carried by Cunard Line Scotia from New York Nov. 1st to Queenstown arriving Nov. 10th, closed bag to France, Paris (11.12.65) arrival backstamp, red crayon markings; top right corner faulty from opening, otherwise Very Fine and scarce Black Jack franking for the 15¢ treaty rate to France.
