Great Britain, 1900 Hand Illustrated & Colored Cover, hand delivered cover with skillfully rendered Portrait of Young Women design, inscribed "Many happy return of the Day, To Dora, from GME, 20 Sept 1900" from artist George Henry Edwards to his sister on her birthday, Very Fine, the only known cover from the Edwards correspondence to be hand delivered by the artist. Estimate $100 - 150.
George Henry Edwards (1854-1918) exhibited his art at the Royal Academy and the Royal Institute. This is one of approximately 45 covers believed to exist from this artist.
