Samoa, Tau, Samoa. Jun 23, 1909, perfect bold strike of duplex ties 5¢ blue (304) on gray cover to Apia, Samoa; vertical file fold, Very Fine and exceptionally rare.

There are reportedly only three recorded strikes of this postmark, this cover, a post card mailed on the same day we offered in Sale 76 (real. $690) and another post card used in the WWII era.
