Mexico, 1880-1940's Cover Group, 28 covers and 3 fronts, most with illustrations or advertising. Included is a 1892 cover with a revenue stamp used as postage, a 1914 postage due supplementarios usage and 3 pretty covers with Chinese characters, one from Baja California. An Oil Refinery illustrated mail is a beauty, and the ads of other include hotels, agriculture, heavy machinery, music instruments, glass, shoes, banks, clothing, drugs, aeronautics, hat, phonograph, typewriter, gun, etc., generally F.-V.F (no photo).Estimate $200 - 300.

Mexico, 1880-1910's Mexico Cancellation Collection, over 1700 stamps including Large Hidalgo Heads, Large Numerals, Mulitas and other early 20th century issues, includes cut squares, railroad, complete Paquebot, other steamship, Wells Fargo examples are found, some late usages of early cancels are included. Noted: strip of five 2 centavos large numeral used San Pedro De Las Colonias, block of four Tenguistengo Large Numeral, block of twenty-five one centavo used in Ocoyoacac, Mex in 1916, large "Paquetbot" & "Montevideo" strikes on strip of 3, many cancellations are identified, locations (over 270) noted; Dr. Karl Schimmer used this collection to identify cancels and draw sketches of them for his book The Postmarks of Mexico 1874 - 1900, copies of many of his sketches are included in this collection.Estimate $500 - 750.
