Uruguay, 1859, 240c vermilion, thin numerals, large to huge margins, in combination with 1860, 180c yellow green, thick numerals, two singles (types 3 & 7), full margins, on folded letter to Buenos Aires paying the nine times external rate, all tied by "Montevideo, Dicbre, 9, 1862" oval date stamps, manuscript "pr Menai" ship endorsement at lower left, Very Fine, An extraordinarily high combination franking with no other examples recorded, regarded as one of the most important covers bearing the highest denominations of both the Thin & Thick Figures issues, ex-Caspary, Hoffman and Bustamante; with 1981 F. Paulos and 2009 C. Rocha certificates.
