Nova Scotia, 1837 (Jun. 27) Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island to Fredericton, New Brunswick via Halifax, cover addressed to Major General Sir John Harvey (Lt. Governor of P.E.I. and from 1837 of New Brunswick), light strike of rimless "Prince Edwards Island" postmark with manuscript "27th June '37" dating and "8" rating, updated to "1N4" for double weight letter to Halifax, "Halifax N.S. JY 5 1837" transit cds, additional "1N10½" rating to Fredericton totalled to "3N2½" for 3 shillings 2½ pence due; receipt docketing at right, Very Fine, ex-Salmon.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

The round Prince Edwards Island despatch mark was used from July 11th 1834 to August 31st 1842. This Halifax cds is known used from November 20th 1830 to July 21st 1838.

Nova Scotia, 1857 (Jun. 13) Pictou, N.S. to Bay of Arts, N.B., cover bearing Nova Scotia 1853, 1d Red Brown (1) horizontal strip of three, full to mostly large margins, tied by two strikes of oval grid cancels, reverse with Pictou (6.13.1857) origin cds, Amherst (6.15), Sackville (6.16), Port Elgin and Baie-Verte N.B. (6.19) transits, Very Fine, ex-Reford, Carnegie, Koh.

Nova Scotia, 1858 (Sep. 13) Newcastle, N.B. to Halifax, N.S., gray folded cover bearing New Brunswick 1851 3c red (1), large margins, just clear at left, tied by Newcastle "21" oval grid cancel, matching "Newcastle N.B., SE 13 1858" backstamp, reverse with Sackville (9.14) transit; file folds barely affect 3d, Very Fine appearance.

Nova Scotia, 1859 (Dec. 15) Sackville N.B. to Amherst, N.S., cover bearing New Brunswick 1851, 6d olive yellow (2b), top half with full margins, neatly tied by sharp strike of Sackville "24" oval grid cancels, reverse with Sackville (12.15) origin cds and Amherst (12.16) arrival backstamp; sealed cover tear, still Extremely Fine, ex-Banfield, Carr, KL (Cheung); with 1956 P.F. certificate.

Nova Scotia, 1860 (Feb. 13) Newcastle, N.B. to Amherst, N.S., light buff cover bearing New Brunswick, 1851, 6d olive yellow, bisected (2b) diagonal right half with large margins, tied by oval "21" grid cancel, reverse with Newcastle (2.13.1860) origin cds and partial Amherst (2.15) arrival cds; edge faults with repaired upper left corner and partial flap, Very Fine appearance; with clear 2011 R.P.S.L. certificate.

Nova Scotia, 1860 (Jul. 24) St. John, N.B. to Wolfville, N.S., cover bearing New Brunswick 1860, 10¢ vermilion, bisected (9a) left bottom half of diagonal bisect, tied by St. John oval "1" grid cancel, reverse with St. John (7.24.1860) origin cds, Annapolis (7.26) transit and Wolfville arrival cds, Very Fine, ex-Brouse (backstamp), Argenti, Koh.
Estimate    $500 - 750.

The bisected 10¢ replaced the suppressed 5¢ Connell stamp until the 5¢ green was issued in mid July 1860.

Nova Scotia, 1867 (Jan. 9) Wilmot N.S. to Stone Cutter, St. John, N.B., orange cover bearing Nova Scotia 1860-63, 1¢ black on yellowish (8) five singles, one faulty and one with small tear, cancelled by open grid cancels, reverse with Wilmot origin cds, Halifax (1.11.1867) transit and Saint John (1.14) arrival cds, a Very Fine use with a scarce franking prepaying the 5¢ rate, ex-Wellburn.
