Alexandria, Va., two different complete unused sets of Magnus patriotic covers with allover designs of Alexandria Va., which when placed side by side form a bird's eye view of the city, the first set consists of 17 different views plus 2 duplicate views (all hand-colored), the second set consists of 12 different views (all hand-colored, except one in black & one in bronze), Very Fine, a wonderful and rare set.

Cooper Shop Volunteer Refreshment Saloon, black overall illustration on reverse, two panels showing view of building and interior, "U.S. Penny Mail, Phila Pa., A, Aug 9" octagon backstamp and addressed to Volunteer Saloon at Baltimore Md., original patriotic letterhead enclosure datelined "August 1st 1862" from William M. Cooper to William Robinson reading "Will you please make enquiry in your hospitals weather there is a young man there by the name of John Bradfield…"; cover faulty and repaired with replacement 3¢ rose (65) pair, Fine and rare, ex-Bischel; with 2000 P.F. certificate.
