Kenake, Honolulu, H.I., dark blue two-line corner card handstamp on buff cover with corners clipped for fumigation bearing two 5¢ rose lake (76) singles with right selvage, tied by multiple strikes of "Honolulu, H.I. Aug 23, 1895" duplex to Denver Col., Very Fine and scarce corner card handstamp. Meyer-Harris No. LTK-HS-2.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

The 1895 Cholera Epidemic quarantined Honolulu from August 20, 1895 to October 23, 1895 and mail was fumigated before it could be put aboard a ship bound for another port. Louis T. Kenake was a postal employee and salesman.

Hawaii, St. C. Sayres, Honolulu, H.I., printed corner card on cover bearing 10¢ yellow green (77) tied by "Honolulu, H.I. Nov 9, 1898" duplex to Seattle Wash., endorsed "S.S. Moana" at bottom left, reverse with San Francisco (11.16) and Seattle (11.18) transit machines, Very Fine and rare corner card.
