Hawaii, Japanese New Year Greeting 1898, printed message on reverse of Postal Card, 1894, 1¢ red on buff showing crossed Japanese flags, from Unosuke Kobayashi, a Japanese businessman from Jigozen mura in Hiroshima prefecture, he established the Kobayashi Hotel on Beretania Street after his first hotel burned down in the Chinatown fire, left side of message shows steamships going to Yokohama, Japan, card sent to Kohala with "Honolulu, H.I., Jan 4, 1898" duplex postmark canceling, Extremely Fine, an extremely rare printed message with only two examples of this card being recorded.
