1857, 1¢ blue, type Ia, neat town cancel, deep intense color, wide top margin with portion of adjacent stamp, bottom with most perf disks present, Fine and attractive, a handsome example of this rare type 1a stamp which was only produced from from the bottom row of plate 4; with 1976 P.F. and 1997 A.P.S. certificates.
Scott No. 19    $9,000 for the grade of fine.

1857, 1¢ blue, type Ic, "F" relief, position 96R4 showing curl in "C" of "Cents", town cancel, well centered amid wide margins, bright color, most perfs trimmed at right, F.-V.F. appearance, still an attractive example of the very rare "F" relief showing one of the two best examples of type Ic; with 1996 P.S.E. certificate.
