Ecuador, 1865, 1r green, vertical pair, positions 3/12, margins large showing portion of margin rule at top to just shaving frameline at lower right, tied by "Guayaquil, 3 Abr, 66" cds on folded letter to Lima, Peru, reverse with receiving backstamp, Very Fine, a scarce external mail usage prior to the autumn of 1866 not dispatched through the British P.O., ex-Ayora.

Ecuador, 1865, 1r green, horizontal strip of nine, positions 55-63 representing the complete 7th row in the sheet, margins full to in at left, tied by "Riobamba, 14 Nov" cds's on oversized Judicial front to Guaranda, with "18oz" weight endorsement at right, F.-V.F.; with 1988 Holcombe, 2002 Raybaudi and 2011 Moorhouse certificates.

Ecuador, 1865, 1r green, top margin single, ample margins, tied by "Quito, 30 Julio, 67" cds with second strike alongside on Judicial cover to Latacunga, with stamp showing traces of a second date stamp previously applied in a different shade of ink, cover bearing no due markings showing that the fraudulent re-use of the stamp was successful; cover with a couple of repaired nicks at top, Very Fine appearance, ex-Longhi.

Ecuador, 1865, 1r green, seven singles, in combination with 1865, ½r blue on Judicial wrapper to Latacunga, tied by manuscript "Riobamba, Riobba" cancels, "14¼oz" weight endorsement and reverse with "29 de julio de 1865" docketing, Very Fine, an attractive combination franking bearing the manuscript Riobamba cancels just prior to the issue of handstamp devices.

Ecuador, 1865, 1r green, horizontal pair, tied by three strikes of "Esmeralda, 17 Nov, 69" cds's on Judicial wrapper to Quito paying the 4 oz parcel rate, F.-V.F., a rare first type cds used during the last days of it's use, fewer than five cover are known with this townmark, ex-Longhi.

Ecuador, 1865, 1r green, vertical strip of five, positions 3//39, margins large to just in at left center, tied by dotted lozenge handstamps on Judicial wrapper to Riobamba, with matching "Alausi, 22 Fevr, 67" first type cds's tying strip at ends, manuscript "9¾ oz" weight notation, Very Fine, very scarce with about 15 covers known with a date stamp from Alausi.
