Genl., Shanghai, Mar 20, clear cds on 1861, 10¢ yellow green on buff entire to Carlisle, Pa., with manuscript "Overland" endorsement for the overland mail from San Francisco, canceled by negative mirrored "20" cork cancel with magenta "China and Japan, Steam Service" oval handstamp alongside; some light cover staining, F.-V.F., a very rare usage of the Consul General postmark used on March 20, 1869 in combination with this fancy negative "20" cork cancel used only on this single departure, only three on cover usages of this numeral cancel are known.
