1852, 3¢ dull red, type II, o.g., never hinged, enormous boardwalk margins with significant portions of adjacent stamps all around, bold color, a Superb jumbo gem, this is the only never hinged example to receive this grade; with 2019 P.S.E. certificate Graded (Gem 100J, SMQ $5,000 for 100).

1852, 3¢ dull red, type II, four margins with beautiful color, tied by sharp strike of "Louisville & Cincinnati Mail Line, May 24" balloon cds (Towle No. O-21-c3) on small blue piece; creased from file fold, still Very Fine appearing and rare waterway postmark.
