New Zealand, 1865-73, 2d Plate II Study Collection, of approximately 500 stamps mostly used and over 100 black proofs arranged on stock pages in binder; each stamp arranged and identified by plate position, stamps approximately half being 2d blue issues and half 2d orange issue, including 14 2d vermilion "NZ" watermark issues, many positions showing degrees of plate wear and three positions of the 2d blue issues show scarce pre-retouch printings; some moderate duplication for some positions, condition a little varied, generally F.-V.F., wonderful assembly and study with the 1865-73 2d plate II issue.

New Zealand, 1866-71 Provisional Imperforate Issues, balance of 23 singles, most with full four margins; four margins items includes four 1d issues including orange vermilion in shades and two brown issues, four 2d issues with three blue issues in shades and a scarce 2d orange vermilion (retouch R 1/12), six 3d issues of lilac and mauve shades; condition varies.

New Zealand, 1871-73 New Colors Large Watermark Star Issues, balance of 70 stamps; starting with six used 1d perf 10 issues including early 10/14/71 town date cancel, scarce strip of three, re-entry R. 11/3, 1d perf 10x12½ issue with unused and used including manuscript cancel, pair, re-entries, perf 10 on one side and perf 12½ on one side (two examples of each), etc., 2d perf 10x12½ with used strip of three and an unused which appears to be a S.G. 130a despite B.P.A. cert. (not counted in cat. value), 1d perf 12 with five mint including pair and used with pair and strip, 2d perf 12½ with mint shades (five singles) and two additional mint retouch (R. 17/8 & 17/9), also shades in used, 6d with two used perf 10x12½ issues and nine perf 12½ issues including a mint single and other used including shades, red "Paid All", etc.; condition varied with condition well above the norm.

New Zealand, 1871-73 New Colors Issues on Cover, group of 23 covers; includes three 1d covers including perf 10x12½ pair (128) use, scarce perf 10x12½ & 12½ singles (128+132) on cover from Ivercargill, and a perf 12½ worn plate single (132a), sixteen 2d single franking usages, with three perf 10x12½ issues (130, 130a) including worn and retouched printings, other thirteen perf 12½ issues (watermark large star or no watermark) including worn and retouched prints, also three 6d single usages to G.B.; condition varies.
