(Plumas) Taylors Ranch, Cal., Feby 4, 1862, manuscript postmark (PLU-2410, R5) on cover to Stockton, franked with 1857, 3¢ dull red (tiny flaws) canceled by manuscript cross hatch, Very Fine, one of three known all between February 4th and June 24th of 1862 (photo on web site).

(Riverside) Radec, Cal., May 24, 1893, cds (Williams "no postmarks recorded") canceling on 1887, 2¢ green entire to San Diego, receiving backstamp; small corner nick, Very Fine, quite possibly the only known Radec postmark from both periods of this Riverside post office.

(Sacramento) Hicksville, Cal., Dec 31, oval handstamp with manuscript date (SAC-1510, R4) on cover to Vermont, franked with 1861, 3¢ brownish carmine canceled by waffle grid handstamp, with dateline portion of enclosure on Christmas day of 1862, Very Fine, the earliest recorded example of this rare postmark.

(Sacramento) Pomelo, Cal., Jan 28, 1901, clear full cds (SAC-2200) on corner card cover to Boston, Mass., franked with 2¢ Bureau (s.e. at bottom) tied by target handstamp, Folsom City, Orangevale transit and receiving backstamps, Extremely Fine, the only recorded postmark from the short-lived Pomelo P.O. (April 5, 1899 to April 30, 1901).

(Sacramento) Sacramento, Cal., Nov 10, 1849, pre-statehood two-line postmark (SAC-2470, R8) on stampless folded letter with integral "Paid 40" rate handstamp, to Erie, Pa.; sensibly reinforced with several small stains one leading to small hole on face, Fine, a great classic rarity, this is the latest of the five or so copies used during the period of Oct 21st thru Nov 10th, 1849.
