Ecuador, Galápagos Island Postal History Collection, 1930-89, wonderful assembly of 80 covers and cards and some stamps; with 1930's usages including ca. 1930 Ecuador 4-color franking cover to Germany with stamps solely canceled by "Bagquerizo Moreno, Islas Galapagos" undated handstamps, similar handstamp dated 1934 on cover to Canada with additional "Jefatura Territorial Del Archipielago de Colon" cachet handstamp, other usages including ca. 1937 U.S. franking cover to N.Y. and 1939 cover from San Cristobal Island to Jamaica, unfranked cover to England bearing Post Office Bay, Galapagos Isl. circular cachet and "Picked up & forwarded, Mar 26, 1939 by, Capt. W.T. Murnan, Yachet Seven Seas" handstamp, other late 1930's and 1940's covers with Post Office Bay cachet including 1940 "Schooner Yankee" world cruise cachet cover, section of 1935-1940 Naval covers includes 1935 U.S.S. Trenton (with enclosure), 1936 U.S.S. Moffett, 1937 U.S.S. Bagley and 1940 U.S.S. Lapwig and several 1940-41 covers from the U.S.S. Erie (including letterhead enclosure), interesting 1941 postage due cover to Balboa C.Z. from Post Office Bay with large cachet handstamp in reverse, 1948 usage posted in Tahiti, section of 30 1943-44 A.P.O. (662) covers from Beta Air Base on Seymour Island, host of later covers and cards, stamps including Ecuador 1922 20c Galapagos Island unissued stamp used (few were entered into the postal system) and 1965 revenue issues in singles and blocks, Very Fine overall, an excellent collection and truly ideal for further continuation.

Finland, 1850, 5k blue on yellowish white, indicia on backflap of entire to Tavastehus, canceled by "Helsingfors 10/1, 1854" boxed handstamp with additional strike on front; some faint edge tone, F.-V.F. Higgins and Gage No. 3.
