Roman States & Sardinia, 1852-1868, nice study group mounted on pages which includes mint & used off cover stamps (Roman States are mainly mint) Sardinia includes cancels & shades, plus 31 Roman States covers (Mainly the perforated 1868 10c) and 22 Sardinian covers with various franking, of which 11 are franked with the 40c, plus two stampless covers from Milano in the 1820's-30's, worth inspection.

Italy, Cover Balance, of 24 items; mostly Italian States including Romagna 4baj single usage (Scott #5) and 2baj two single on cover to Trieste and 2baj bisect usage, Tuscany including 1c+4c strip of four on cover to London, Papal States with a number of item from the F.D.R. collection, some early and later Italy usages, etc.; condition varies, worth review.

Italy & Areas, Collection, 1863-1953, in Lighthouse album with many better sets and values, for may periods more or less complete, the good sets of the 1930's occasionally with CTO but most are genuine postal cancels, after WII complete, noted 1951 Firenze gymnastics with special cds, also noted back-of-the-book areas (parcel post, postage dues, Colonies, occupied areas, etc.); nice overall condition, owner's Sassone cat €60,000+.
