California Better Townmark Balance, of 47 covers, with many very rare to unique items throughout; includes eight Amador county usages including 1862 Ione Valley manuscript (AMA-510, 3 recorded in the short second period), unlisted 1860's Ione (Valley) cds (probably unique), 1855 Jackson cds (CAL-1280, unlisted for Amador) to Switzerland, 1870's manuscript Plymouth (AMA-1110, R5), two 1850's Sutter Creek manuscript (AMA-1330, R5), Butte county with 1860's Magalia manuscript (BUT-2510, only known first period postmark), Calaveras county with 1850's Ione Valley (CAL-1250, only known example and unique Calaveras county usage) and other rarity 5 postmarks including two different Jackson date stamps, El Dorado county with rare Yeomet manuscript (ELD-4120, R5), Fresno county with unlisted Kingston manuscript, Monterey with unlisted 1898 Spreckels fancy serrated cds (likely unique), Riverside with possibly the only Radec postmark (Williams "no postmarks recorded"), other townmarks from San Diego, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, etc., also includes 70 Shasta County postal money order advices from 1897-1924, Very Fine (photo on web site).

Kern County Balance, of approximately 50 covers and a few cards; includes a nice section of various Bakersfield postmarks and includes illustrated ads, Tejon Ranch corner card, registered, etc., couple Caliente manuscripts and first handstamp postmark (KER-810, R4), scarce Jewetta cds, Mohave straight line (KER-2740, R4), rare Tehachipa manuscript (KER-4120, two known), etc., generally F.-V.F.

Los Angeles Town Balance, of over 260 19th century covers and cards; with highlights including two 1850's manuscript postmark usages (LOS-5660, R7) faulty but rare, first type cds in black and blue (LOS-5670, R5) including stampless usages with various rates and tying 1851 10¢ issues on cover, an array of second type balloon cds (LOS-5680) usages including 1857 & 1861 1¢+3¢ combinations, 1857 & 1861 10¢ usages, 1863 5¢ multiple usages including to Canada, later usages including 12¢ solo usage to England, stationary entire usages, nice array of Banknote era usages including to Italy, registered, auxiliary marking including "Advertised/Unclaimed", and a host of 1890's usages with various registered, few La Fiesta carnival covers, Mid-Winter Expo, Spanish-American War patriotics, etc.

Siberia cover, etc., cards with many other exotic usages, generally F.-V.F. with better.

Tulare County Balance, of approximately 300 covers and cards; nice array of towns and townmarks, with better including choice 1887 Churchhill cds (TUL-370, R4), unrecorded 1886 Cramer manuscript on registered cover, short-lived 1886 Cramer cds (TUL-390), 1872 Portersville manuscript (TUL-2200, R4), 1877 Joneso manuscript (TUL-1390, R4), 1887 Popular first type cds and fancy star in star duplex (TUL-2160, R4), blue 1880's Grangeville T&C cds (TUL-1200, R4), unusual 1888 Grand View T&C cds (TUL-1180, R4) as the name changed to Traver in 1884 (provisional use?), unlisted 1877 Hunsaker manuscript (one of two known), 1886 Travler T&C cds (TUL-3020, R4), 1882 Three Rivers cds (TUL-2830, R4) which is the only recorded, 1889 Woodville cds and star duplex (TUL-3720, R4), choice Hanford first type cds (TUL-1260, R4), 1876 Tulare first type cds (TUL-3110, R4) possible earliest usage, with many nice rarity 3 townmarks, etc., generally F.-V.F.
