Hand-Illustrated and Colored Covers - MacKinstry Correspondence, 1935-40, of forty six covers mostly from Wilmington, Del. to Lancaster, Pa., various 3¢ frankings of the period; with an array of skillfully executed illustrations with many Humorous Caricatures, Animals, Landscapes, Holidays, Portraits, etc., plus three covers missing stamps and 12 other pieces of hand-drawn paper including small humorous book that refers to collecting cigar bands and poster stamps; some aging & wear affecting a few covers, still Very Fine, a remarkable correspondence from a very skilled artist.

Hetherington, early 1864 Dr. Jaynes & Son, Dr. Harter's including registered, Kennedy & Co. (rare legal size cover), etc.; many others are illustrated, some in color., generally F.-V.F. or better.
