Penny Post, 1852 (1¢) blue on bluish, slight crease, acid tied on locally addressed Philadelphia cover on Spring Garden St., with ""Blood's Despatch, Jun 20"" cds at right, docketed "June 20th, 1854" at bottom, Very Fine, one of at least two known usages of the Teese & Co. adhesive accepted by Blood's.

Wells Fargo & Co., 1862-64, 25¢ blue, right margin single, ample margins to touching at upper left, tied by blue "Wells, Fargo & Cos Express, S. Frco., Feb 24" double circle date stamp on 1861, 3¢ pink entire addressed to Virginia City, N.T. with manuscript "Pony" endorsement, with black Bamber ribbon company frank at upper left; entire reduced at right into indicia and portion of address panel and a couple small edge tears, F.-V.F., an extremely rare express usage.

A rare conjunctive usage from Bamber, who operated in the East Bay and carried the cover to San Francisco from transmission by Pony Express to Virginia City.

Wells Fargo & Co., 1862-64, 25¢ red, ample margins at just in at bottom left, tied by blue "Wells, Fargo & Co., Virginia City, N.T., May 5" oval date stamp on 1861, 3¢ pink entire (U34) to San Francisco, second strike of date stamp canceling and black company frank at top; cover faults including reduction at right (enhanced) and partial backflaps, Fine appearance.

Westtown, 1853-67 (2¢) gold, clear to ample margins, affixed to cover to Philadelphia, Pa. in combination with 1852, 1¢ blue, type IV, horizontal strip of three (9), tied by indistinct Westchester, Pa. cds's; strip of light crease between right pair and center stamp with small tear at top left, otherwise Very Fine; with 2014 P.F. certificate.
