(Cheshire Railroad) F.C. & R. & B. R.R. Mail Line, Aug 23 (Fitchburg, Cheshire, Rutland and Burlington Railroad), bold route agent cds ties 3¢ Rose (65) on cover to Hartford, Conn.; cover slightly reduced at left, Very Fine and choice, Rarity V.
Towle No. 41-H-1    Estimate $200 - 300.

Envelope put onto Route 693 on August 23rd circa 1868 and carried to Bellow Falls for transfer via Keene to Hartford, CT.

A VERY RARE ROUTE AGENT MARKING THAT IS THE BASIS FOR THE TRACING IN SIMPSON-ALEXANDER (RARITY 9).

Carried via Bellows Falls to Keene to be put onto Route 692 for Springfield. Transferred West for Troy.
