A SCARCE ANDREW JACKSON FREE FRANK AS MAJOR GENERAL COMMANDING THE DIVISION OF THE SOUTH.

Letter is addressed to Sec. of War John C. Calhoun, who eight years later would be Jackson's running mate as Vice President, serving two terms under Jackson.
