Newfoundland, 1897, 1¢ on 3¢ surcharges complete, complete setting of 50 with the bottom row containing 8 type B and two Type C overprints, selvage at ends, o.g., 12 type A overprints hinged with some h.r.'s, rest never hinged including the block of four with all three types (77a, positions 38-39/48-49), some separations particularly at lower right selvage, some reinforcing, Fine and rare complete setting, ex-Pratt. Sheets of 100 of the 1890 Victoria were divided into two for surcharging with the top margins stripped. This setting was from the top half of the sheet as the bottom half should retain the bottom imprint selvage below positions 45-46. Sheets previously rejected because of poor centering were now used.
