(Hand-Illustrated) Cover Front Scrap Book, 1916-19, group of 14 used 1916-19 stamped cover fronts posted mostly from Brooklyn N.Y. pasted into scrapbook with fancy addresses and featuring playful sketches and Mc Cready characters incorporated into Reeves' lettering, some multicolor, also includes some unused envelopes and original artwork, along with photos and paper clippings, put together by wife of Artist A. Houghton Reeves addressed to her in Oyster Bay, N.Y. while her husband worked in Brooklyn N.Y., some interesting scenes like stereotypical depiction of an African American subject galloping on a donkey; man running away from a snake (possibly the artist); rabbits dancing under the sunshine while a man watches through a spyglass, etc., Very Fine and unusual. Estimate $400 - 600.
