'38' Apr 30, 1861" exchange cds, carried by Cunard Line Niagara from Boston May 1st to Liverpool arriving May 12th, red "London, Paid, 12 MY 61" arrival cds; flap tears and some edge wear, Very Fine and scarce vertical pair on cover.
Scott Nos. 37    $1,000 + as single to England.

Cover was prepaid two-times the 24¢ treaty rate with a two-times the 19¢ credit to G.B.
