Liberty Bell with "Proclaimed Liberty to all the Inhabitants", blue Magee imprint anti-slavery patriotic design (Walcott L2710) on cover bearing 3¢ rose (65) tied by target cancel, matching "Philadelphia Pa., Jan 22, 1862" cds to Harrisburg Pa., addressed to to Hon. William L. Dennis, Harrisburg Pa. who was a strong abolitionist of the era, reverse bears a long "Memorial to Congress" giving the sender an opportunity to sign a petition to Congress to enact the abolition of slavery under its war powers; slightly rough opening at top, otherwise Very Fine and rare used design, a fabulous abolition patriotic use, ex-Walcott.
