Mauritius, 1859, "Britannia", 1s vermilion, horizontal pair, in combination with 1863, Queen Victoria, 6d slate (50) on folded letter to London, England, all tied by mute barred oval handstamps with manuscript Via Marseilles routing endorsement, magenta manuscript "7½" credit rate and registry endorsement, red London, Registered oval date stamp and reverse with bold "Mauritius, G.P.O., No 3, 1860" crown circle date stamp; cover with soiled and toned horizontal file fold, Fine appearance, a rare registered mixed issue franking.
