1939, 10¢ Tyler, horizontal coil, used with a single 4¢ Franklin coil (843), tied by Cleveland, O. duplexes, May 13, 1944, on an Airmail cover to A.P.O. 913, San Francisco, and redirected (on reverse) to Columbus, O., 13th Air force Headquarters, with a partial May 19 A.P.O. backstamp and final "May 24" pencil docketing on front; somewhat wrinkled from thick contents (not present), F.-V.F.

A rare example of a temporary Wartime rate of 6¢ per half ounce to or from military postal facilities outside the continental U.S., in effect from Dec 25, 1941 until Sep 30, 1946.
