A REMARKABLE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1¢ TYPE IIIA 1857 PERFORATE ISSUE FROM PLATE 11, GRADED XF-SUPERB 95 BY THE P.S.E.
The 1¢ type IIIa design is characterized by the outer line broken at top or rarely at bottom, but not both. Side ornaments are substantially complete. There are only two examples graded higher by the P.S.E. at XF-S 95 Jumbo.
