1851, 3¢ orange brown, type I, showing large break in outer frameline at top right, ample to mostly large margins, rich color, tied by neat strike of blue "Troy & New York Steamboat" boxed handstamp on rebacked cover front to Troy, N.Y., matching "2cts." in circle due handstamp, Extremely Fine and choice, a truly striking Troy & New York Steamboat usage.

An almost identical full cover usage was recently sold in the 2021 G. Eubanks Collection sale by Siegel Auctions realizing $6,250 hammer with a tiny cut in the margin of the stamp.
