Grill (89) horizontal pair (left stamp defective) canceled with uncharacteristic pen strokes (which show through on the inside - confirming they belong), partial "San Francisco Cal. Dec. 17" cds, clear "HAWAIIAN/STEAM/SERVICE" in magenta oval, pencil "30" at lower left; minor toning, ink smear from address, cover with corner nick behind right 5¢, Fine, a very scarce example of a double rate, ex-Honolulu Advertiser.
