Type I, circular mark, incredibly detailed perfectly impressed at bottom left on folded letter datelined "Philadelphia Mar. 14, 1836" to Reverend Alexander McGill in Carlisle Penn., postmarked red "Phila 14 Mar." in octagonal frame, manuscript "Paid 12½" rate marking; trivial cover tear at top & some edge splits, Extremely Fine, ex-S. Brown, Gibson, Meroni & V. Morris; with 1999 P.F. certificate.
