1851, 3¢ orange brown, type II, right margins vertical pair with part imprint (positions 50/60R5E) showing the absence of plate "No. 5" number during the early state of plate 5, o.g., margins large to just touching frameline, full wide sheet margin, rich vibrant color, small scissor cut at upper left in bottom stamp, otherwise Very Fine, a great and important 3¢ orange brown issue rarity, illustrated in T. Alexander article 3¢ 1851, Plate 5 Early (The Chronicle 104, page 256), ex-Piller & Chapin; with 2000 & 2023 P.F. certificates.
