Postal Card, 1873, 1¢ brown on buff, watermarked Small U.S.P.O.D., canceled by complete sharp strike of fancy Skull & Crossbones in Coffin cancel with "Pittsburgh, Pa., Nov 27" cds alongside, reverse with 1873 ad and notification for J.H. Johnston's "Great Western Gun Works"; card flaws including light staining and tear at bottom, still an Extremely Fine strike, an extremely rare short-lived fancy cancellation, known used only from November 25-29 of 1873.
