China (People's Republic), 1953, Russian Revolution 35th Anniversary (C20N) complete, inscribed "Soviet" (two additional characters), the four values with the extra "Soviet" inscription and printed in different colors than the issued stamps, without gum as issued, well-centered, bright colors, the $800 green Statue of Stalin with faintest trace of toned spots at left, which in no way detracts, Very Fine and rare. Yang Nos. C94-C97.

A GORGEOUS UNUSED SET OF THE UNISSUED OCTOBER REVOLUTION SET. ONE OF THE KEY SETS OF A PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA COLLECTION IN CHOICE CONDITION.

This set was unofficially released at several small post offices in Hunan, Fukien and Canton areas in February 1953. They were quickly withdrawn after a small number had been sold. The vast majority of sets we have seen on the market have faults from minor to severe (including repairs). This condition of this set, is in outstanding condition and is fault free, which is far above the norm. See Scott Footnote
