Pierce, Attorney at Law, Amherst Court House, Va. corner card, "May 22/61" docketing below free frank, with original enclosure, Very Fine, a rare postmaster free frank usage used in the Confederacy.
Estimate    $300 - 400.

The free frank could still be used for postmaster's mail at this time as the free frank was not abolished until the CSA Postal Service started operation on June 1, 1861.
