Ecuador, 1800 Spain to Quito, folded letter sheet with pencil "June 3, 1800" notation on reverse (archive date), with red "Espna" straight line handstamp, manuscript "Baraca N.S. de Reglia, alias La Reyna, Buenos.aires" ship and routing endorsement, reverse with bold "Peru" straight line transit handstamp on reverse, Very Fine, an unusual routing for a Colonial letter.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Originating in Spain, this letter went via Buenos Aires on the vessel Nuestra Senora de Reglia, alias La Reyna, then overland probably to Lima, where the Peru transit mark was applied to its destination of Quito.
