Sweeter, U.S. Consul, Guayaquil" oval handstamp, front with circular "Forwarded By, I.B. Feraud, Panama" handstamp, entered to U.S. mails with red "Phila., Sep 7" octagon date stamp, matching Philadelphia Full Rigged Ship in octagon handstamp and manuscript "20¾" rate, Very Fine and choice.

This cover was sent from the sailing ship "William & Henry" at Guayaquil to the ship's owner based in Salem. This cover reached Philadelphia after nearly four months in transit.
