Gregory's Express Pocket Letter Book, small, 3" x 4¾" "Gregory's Express Pocket Letter Book" with 20 pages of faintly lined paper and cover printed in gold on glossy black, USED with all pages filled with original text, as written up by Dr. Milgram in the March, 2020 issue of Western Express, the contents begin with an entry datelined "Sacramento May 11, 1851" with details of the writer's mining adventures and hard work, great fires in San Francisco, Stockton & Nevada City, signed Geo W. Moore; light wear as one would expect from a used example of one of these letterbooks, Very Fine for this, a rare used example of Gregory's Express letterbooks., this is the subject of an article for the Western Express (March 2020) by Dr. Milgram.
Estimate    $400 - 600.

The booklet is "Designed to facilitate correspondence between cities and towns, and the mining districts in California, and all parts of the United States" and "which, with the envelope, will not exceed the weight of a single letter". The inside and back covers list Gregory's locations, services and newspaper endorsements.
