Mexico, 1861, Second Issue, ½r black on buff, horizontal pair, Saltillo, in combination with 1861, 4r black on yellow, diagonal bisect, Saltillo on 1861 folded letter sheet to San Luis Potosi, tied together by Saltillo oval date stamp (Schatzkes 1355) with erroneous 1855 date (present in several genuine items from this district), Very Fine, 4r with only 980 issued, while 6 bisects are recorded in the Bash-Schimmer census from this district, this is the one of two recorded with a combination of stamps and splits; signed J.K.
