Confederacy, 1861, 10¢ dark blue, Hoyer printing, malformed "T" of "TEN". Position 4, deep color, large margins except close at top right corner, tied by unusual grid on 1862 folded letter with matching "Greensborough, Ga., Mar 11" cds at left, addressed to Vice President Alexander Stephens in Richmond Va., letter with interesting content from N.G. Foster who argues for the withholding of cotton from the European market, fight for control of the Mississippi, Manassas, etc., Extremely Fine, a lovely example of the so called "Zen" Cents variety.
