Deep shade, clear grill impression, perfectly aligned to stamp with points up, cancelled by light dotted grid cancel with part of blue N.Y. town datestamp on cover to Tecumseh Mich., lightly soiledVERY FINE. Accompanied by correspondence between a former owner and Eugene Costales regarding the Scott listing for this variety, which appeared from 1942 to 1959, was then dropped in 1960 because Costales and Perry had never seen an example, and was immediately re-instated when the owner made this cover available for examination.
