Over 150 stamps and 36 covers annotated on display pages; early postal history with 1830's Hamburg ship mail to London, 1797-1831 straight line town postmarks (Thurn & Taxis), Scandinavia mails with 1816 "Danemarck Par Hamburg" and scarce 1826 Norwegian war rate cover, later period stampless with 2 1874 covers to Tabasco, Mexico, comprehensive section of stamp issues with complete basic mint issues and additional mint and used with major and minor shades varieties represented as well as the range of town and killer cancels, selection on cover usages including 1859 3s blue to Bremen and 1864 7s orange to Holland, section of North German Confederation period covers with usages to various European countries and highlighted by a rare 1871 4-color franking cover to Montevideo, Uruguay via Southampton (expertly restored cover tears), scarce later material including Hamburg Amerika Line Columbia packetboat cover and 2c block of 9 with S.S. Albinguia oval, West Indies line on Mexico including a rare 1887 10c Numeral imperforate between & Hamburg postmarks on "Porte-De Mar" issues; overall condition well above the norm, Very Fine.
