General Foreign: Mexico - 1872 "Anotado" & Hidalgo Issues

Mexico, 1872, 50c black on yellow "Anotado", Puebla. Horizontal strip of five, imperf, cons 4-70, large margins to just touching at upper right, in combination with 1868, 100c black on brown, perf'd (cons 1-71, Mexico City) on 1872 registered front from Mexico City to Oaxaca, canceled by "Certi-Ficado" in oval handstamps with matching certified boxed date stamp (Schatzkes 839 & 837A), Puebla transit cds at left; front with file folds not affecting stamps, F.-V.F., a truly remarkable and unique usage as this is the only recorded registered usage of the Anotado issue, the only recorded combination with the 1868 stamps and the largest multiple of any of the used Anotado stamps.
