Mexico, Airmail, 1944, 25c Symbol of Flight. Tied by "Mexico D.F., 21 Jul, 45" airmail cds on V-Mail cover addressed to Sargent in the Mexican Expeditionary Air Force though APO in San Francisco, Cal., contents with U.S. censor handstamp, Very Fine, the V-mail were microfilmed and the originals destroyed, when the microfilm arrived at destination they were enlarge and delivered to addressee, that way valuable space was saved.

V-mail was microfilmed and the originals destroyed. When the microfilm arrived at destination, they were enlarge and delivered to addressee that way valuable space was saved. This cover was sent to a member of the 201th squadron - Mexican contribution to the Pacific war. A small group of these were not destroyed and appeared on the philatelic market. They are very rare.
