Great Britain, 1853-55 Great Britain to the U.S. with "PAID SHIP" markings. 3 covers; (1) Liverpool to Boston 1853, partial red "May 19 48" receiving cds (48 cents rate paid), with a red "10" rocking horse cents credit to the U.S. (5 cents inland X 2) and manuscript "Europa" routing, "Liverpool F.R.H. My 6 1853" (year should be 1854 - Floating Receiving House) receiving cds on reverse (2) G.B. to Lowell, Ma., 1854, partial red Feb 9 receiving cds, red "42 Cents" rocking horse credit to the U.S. (5 cents inland + 16 cents sea) in between, and red manuscript "2/" rate, blue "Cleckheaton" and two Liverpool 25-Jan transits on the reverse. (3) Ennis, G.B. to Lowville, N.Y. 1855, green "Ennis Oc25 1855" cds & partial "New York Nov 15" (48 cents rate paid) cds, red manuscript "2/", Fine.
