Hong Kong, 1874 Foochow to Hong Kong. Cover franked with 8¢ QV stamp cancelled "B62", paying ship letter fee for half to one ounce inter-port letter, reverse with blue "Foo Chow Foo, My 3 74" departure and "Hong Kong, My 7 74" arrival cds's; faint cover edge toning, F.-V.F. Estimate $400 - 600.
Carried by private steamer "Kwang Tung". While mail between Hong Kong and Treaty Ports is far less common than mail from Hong Kong to overseas destinations, mail from Foochow to Hong Kong is particularly scarce, only one earlier Foochow to Hong Kong cover having been recorded by Gurevitch.
