Hong Kong, 1905 Canton Incoming From Nottingham, Penn. With Dead Letter Office markings, cover bearing US 5c Lincoln (Scott 304) cancelled by "Nottingham Pa 18 Oct 1905" duplex, on back: Seattle and Victoria Hong Kong transit cds, and "Canton A No 22 5" arrival cds (single digit year, Webb type Div: only recorded 25 Sep 5 - 19 Mar 6). "Canton" address crossed out and manuscript "Deceased" added. Also on front: "Hong Kong D.L.O." (Proud type D2: 1894 - 1910, but very seldom seen), and "Victoria Hong Kong 24 No 05", without time, not so recorded by Webb or Proud. On back in red, "Dead Letter Office F.D.U.S.A Jan 8 1906", and on front in same red: pointing finger (to return address) inscribed "Return To Writer Dead Letter Office Washington, D.C." and "Washington, D.C. Jan 9 1906" cds, Fine. Estimate $300 - 400.
